Yup, Fuso and Yamashiro are the last class not represented, and my guess is a Kirishima and Hiei are not far off either.  Of course, it would also be VERY good if somebody decided to re-issue the Nagato/Mutsu without the CAD lines, and there is also the possibility of an Ise in her original all-battleship layout..... My guess is the manufacturers will hold off on the battleships for now and examine possibilities for more cruisers, aircraft carriers, and other ships in the next year, but you never know!

It's funny, when I first saw this string I did a quick snoop around on Google, and came up with a string from Model Shipwright that was a 'customer survey' from DML asking what 1/350 ships customers would really like to see DML produce.  The choices were Takao, HMS Nelson, HMS Belfast, USS Baltimore, USS Arizona, Bismarck, Prinz Eugen, or 'other.'  In virtually every case, people wanted to see HMS Nelson, Takao, Prinz Eugen or USS Baltimore.  This 'survey' by DML was done in 2006, and the results????  The envelope please!  USS Buchanan, which wasn't on the list, or mentioned by anyone!  Good to see that DML listens so carefully to its customers!  See the string at http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=77512&page=1

Mind you, the USS Buchanan IS a splendid model, so we can't really complain too much, but I don't think I want to hear any more about how DML or other manufacturers survey their customers for ideas for new production.....

Since every other class of Japanese battleships are now, or will shortly be, available in 1/350 from one Japanese injection manufactuerer or another, I have no doubt Fuso will appear shortly as well.

None that I am aware of (though it is possible Iron Shipwright might have one in resin for big bucks).  That said, I believe either Aoshima or Fujimi is coming out with a 1/350 battleship Ise later this Autumn, and of course, Kongo, Haruna and Nagato are available now......

Just wondering if anyone knows of a manufacturer who sells a 1/350 scale version of the IJN Fuso?  Just love that crazy pagoda bridge......still don't know how that class of warship sailed successfully in heavy seas without capsizing........

Thanks,
