Tamiya did an Apollo CSM and LEM, as separate kits, as well as a combined kit, in 1/70, which is probably close enough for government work. They were released in about 1970, and one version of the combined kit was motorised - It had a swivel mount, which you attached tothe ceiling at one end, and to the model at the other. When you switched the engine - which turned a propellor protruding from the Service Module's main engine - it turned a propellor, which made the thing orbit your bedroom in ever increasing circles! Other than the Airfix 1/72 LEM (last re-released in, IIRC, 1991), and the Revell and Monogram Space Shuttles, that's about it in injection-moulded plastic in 1/72 (though all other US and Soviet manned spacecraft are available in 1/72 in resin/ etch, and white metal). Even in 1/48, most manned spacecraft apart from Apollo and the Shuttle are pretty small, and the International Space Station is unfeasably large in scales larger than 1/144. Cheers, Chris.
Cute and cuddly, boys, cute and cuddly!
