Thought that I would finally post some photos on here of my model. My work is not as extensive as some but fits my skill level I think as this is the most scratchbuilding I have ever done.
I've painted and decaled the exterior of the model and now wroking on the inside for now. For reference I'm using the DEC 1962 Mercury familliarization manual, Mercury mainteneance manual. and the excellent 6 disc set "Project mercury a new frontier" by spacecraft films.
The exterior colour is Tamyia TS-82 Rubber black. I think this matches the finish of the actual spacecraft well. The decals finally set in after a whole bottle of Micro Sol :) ha ha.
