Tamaya 1/70 Apollo Lunar Spacecraft

Has any built the Tamaya 1/70 scale Apollo Lunar Spacecraft kit? How does it compare to the Revell 1/48 version? Thanks.

I have it but haven't built it yet. The most obvious issue is that it appears to be Block I even thought the box and instruction graphics show Block II. It also was originally issued with an electric motor and tether so it could "fly" in circles.

I just finished it. And as it's a Block 1 CSM and didn't 'fly' with a LM, I rebuilt the CSM and LM to be a little closer to the 'flown' versions.

I rebuilt the SM, it's Aft Heat Shield, radiators, Hi-gain antenna, RCS thrusters and brought the LM up a little closer in accuracy.

As a model, it's pretty good. As an accurate model of an Apollo Lunar Spacecraft, it's about a 3. Confused

Wanna see some pix? Here's a couple WIP and 1 or 2 'completed'. I've still got a couple details to include.

Hope this helps. I've got a bunch more WIP pix if you're curious ... I can provide the link to ARC.
