Thanks for the suggestions, guys, but this kit was finished a few months ago Cool

Since it was completed, I managed to, somehow, lose the right wing probe and rebuild it from scrap styrene.  To this day, I have no idea where that probe disappeared to Confused

ap me

the best all time best reference for the bell x-1 is in the Smithsonian air and space museum.  go in the door,  it is in the wing to the right.

When I was there it was hanging from the ceiling, making it kind of hard to get a good look at.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?

I thought one day a 1/48  dio of these two would be cool ,there is a B-29 conversion kit from eagles Talon I would love to find. I cant keep up w/you!-  if you can wait a few days I may find more.

Thank you ,Krow113

Best reference for Bell X-1?
Posted by Gigatron on Sunday, April 18, 2010 10:07 AM

Hey guys,

I just started working on the Revell 1/32 Bell X-1 and I'm looking for the best reference for the cockpit.  Most of the internet pictures are of the 1B with the control stick, not 1, which has the yoke.

So far, I've only primed the pieces, but before I get to painting, I want to see some decent color pictures, first.  Does anyone know of some links or sites that have good, accurate pictures.  I'd prefer to not have to buy another book, only for a few pics.

Thanks,

Fred
