Thanks for the help and the pictures. The tank is definitely more rust than orange. I hope my tank looks as good as yours when I'm done. Hard to believe that the shuttle era is over.
I used a mixture of Pollyscale Southern Pacific Daylight Orange & Rust(approx. 50/50) with a few drops of white added for an ET I'm working on.
So far this is just the base coat. I still have to add some shading and other details but I think the color looks close.
Tamiya 'Hull Red' is a good start, lightened with a bit of white....then weathered heavily...
