Finding Revell 1:24 Gemini?
Posted by Don Stauffer on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 9:23 AM

Someone mentioned in this forum recently that Revell re-issued the subject kit within the past year.  The dealer I usually deal with says it sold out quickly and he cannot get me one.  Anyone know of a source for the kit other than eBay?

Don,

This was one of my top two holy grail kits (the other being the smaller Mercury/Gemini combo) that I searched for over the last 10 years. I was excited  when it was announced as a re-issue. However,

I was never able to find this at any of my regular on line hobby shops. I even left a "contact me" when it comes in and still havent heard from anyone. After two failed attempts I was finally able to score one on Ebay. WOW, looking at the prices now I'm glad I did. I dont recall them being this expensive even before the recent release.

For what it's worth, Lucky Model shows the kit as being in stock. Price with shipping seems high to me, but it may beat Ebay.

Try Ebay.  The kit has been re-issued by revell of Germany.  Here is the link:  www.revell.com/.../80-0028.html

The kit isn't correct.  You will have to buy a upgrade kit from Real-Space hobbies.

Real Space sells the Agena target vehicle (I think they sell the "Angry Alligator, too").  You may spend only $25 or $30 on the kit and $100 on the upgrades.
