pricey model, and having just picked up an airbrush, there is a learning curve. I might suggest getting a cheap kit or two and just practice painting and stuff.
As far as how to do it, it's really up to you. Many people (myself included) will look for pictures and other relevant references and attempt to recreate a real part of history. Others might get creative and try to reproduce an imaginary scenario. Auto models often look factory new with a bright shiny finish.
