Noob trying the 1/144 Revell Discovery and boosters kit

I've had the model for years and finally am tackling it. I've read post here about parts being a little "loose", etc. But I'll give it a go.  I have been building U Boats mostly so this is a different direction for me. Any tips are appreciated.

It looks like i'll be building "sub-assemblies", then body work, sanding priming painting then final assembly.

I have the after market decal set and resin engines to add.

OK I'm into it now and I need your help with seam filling. Do I use putty or fill with super glue or?

I would try a very small bead of super glue. It can be sanded down after it dries. I wait about 3 or 4 hours before sanding.   Or   you could use liquid cement. that might be better. Just dont clamp it to tight or the seam will "squish" to much and then you really have to sand a lot.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Would liquid cement be like Testors in the black tilted bottle?

I have both I can experiment best I guess.

Gel does a better job as a seam filler in my opinion. I prefer putty, however.
