1/48 Saturn V Apollo
Posted by Richkat on Friday, September 5, 2014 8:41 PM

I built this 1/48 Saturn V back in 2010, I got killed when I moved in to my house last December. When I built it the designer had not finished it, I had to mix and match parts to finish it. just found out the one of the guys over at papermodelers.com forum has finished designing the model, so it is all in one set now. It is now available over at the Lower Hudson Valley model site.....FOR FREE!!!  It is a download and print model. find it (and LOTS of other great models) at  jleslie48.com go down to "models to download" then "Apollo Era" .....Rich

Holy smokes!!! How tall is that beast???!!! I have the recent re issue of the Revell Apollo Spacecraft in 1/48 that has just the upper stages and that is gonna be tall when built.

I built one of the original models, it was huge, and kept falling over and stages kept coming apart.- finally got rid of it 20 years later when the decals yellowed and we moved cross-country.  Looked nice when it was new.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

So, the Hudson Valley large Saturn V really IS build-a-ble. Over the years I have checked for improvement of that model- much of it early on was rather difficult to figure out, much less attempt. That and the companion kits in the photo are cool though.

Thanks for posting.
