Nice Model Dana!
I am attempting to build a 1/24 scale Gemini 12 model.
Does anybody know where I can get an internal detail set for this model? I asked New Ware if they were finished with their set but they won't be done with it until later this year. I will buy the outer detail set sold by Real Space Models for the outer portion. I'm thinking of just scratch detailing the interrior with aircraft detail sets. If there is an easier way I'm all ears!

If I remember correctly, it was also 1/24 scale. I think Revell made it. There was also an Atlas/Mercury rocket and launch pad around the same time. That was a really great kit for its time.

And these kits were a mainstay of SF film modelsfor nearly a decade from UFO through to Battlestar Galactica

Dana,
Beautiful work! Is this a scratchbuilt effort, or is there a kit of the Gemini craft? Either way, you did it justice!

The model was built using the 1/24 revell Gemini spacecraft as the base. I then modified it here and there to make it more accurate. I also utilized the fantastic RealSpaceModels aftermarket set for that kit.

There was also an Apollo in 1/72 scale consisting of the command, service modules and the LEM on a lunar base.

DGeraths,

Beautiful, beautiful job!! The best I've seen of that kit infact! Thanks for sharing the pictures!

styrene,

Revell made a 1/24th rendition of the Gemini, which is a great kit! See link below....

I always wished they would do a Mercury and Apollo follow-up to the Gemini, but it never happened.... [:0]

Take care...

Here is a build that I just finished this evening for a client. The base was designed in such a way to allow for the signatures of the men who flew the actual craft. (Something the client has already arranged for.)
