1/72 scale Shuttle Launch Tower
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 7:04 AM
I have been reading that there may be a 1/72 scale Shuttle Launch Tower available soon. Can anybody help out with this? I appreciate all and any help on this - even getting a copy of available drawings would help.

I would not hold my breath for anything like that. There was a fellow working on some of those kinds of things but it would probably not materialize for several years, if at all.

You could get the Revell 1/144th shuttle launch tower and scale it up.

I've found it. Someone at work turned me on to the website.
John - you're right. It looks like it may be a good while until this gets into production. For any one who wants a launch tower from Mercury to Shuttle and more see this web site.

yeah...Ross is one of my space modeling buddies. He is supposed to be coming out with a 1/144th LUT for our Saturn V's but I think life has gotten in the way as it often does.

He's a good guy so we will see it eventually.

i replied to this topic to as k a question hoping that you may have instructions to the latest release of the revell monogram 1/72 space shuttle since youare in the market for the tower.

I need the part numbers and names from the instruction sheet for the landing gear parts of the 1/72 Revell Monogram Space Shuttle. Specifically: the all the wheels, the and the main gear struts on all three gears.

You can email me at: chris@scalemodelart.com or post a replay to this message.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Nose Gear - Part No 48, 1 each
Nose Gear Support Arm - Part No. 49, Need 1 each

Reissued Space Shuttle with Fuel Tank and Boosters,1/72 Scale, Monogram
These instructions do not address the assembly of the Nose/Main gear, however, I still have the parts on the origninal trees. The Main Wheel numbers are:
Part No. 20 (Inside wheel), Part No. 19 (Outside Wheel)
I don't have the part numbers for the gears (They are off the trees)

Chris, if you need them, I could mail them out to you. These are from my "extras" storage rack.

thanks for the welcome. I hate to say how long i have been building it. I started it
right after the challenger explosion (yes challenger). worked on it on and off for a year or so.....then got married and put it down for 10 years.

finally decied to dust it off and get it finished. I think i'll have it done by the end of the year. Its so hard finding time to work on things. And sometimes i do something...then dont like it and start over again. You know how it goes.

Sorry to bump an old topic but I am hoping someone here can help me out. I recently acquired the 1/72 Monogram space shuttle with tank & boosters kit. I was lucky enough to get the kit at a great price and it is complete....except for the instructions. Confused [%-)] Is there someone here who can help me out? I'll gladly pay for a scan or photocopy of the instructions. Please e-mail if you can help.

Thanks in Advance!, Smile [:)]
