Photo-etch interrior detail set.

Does anybody know where I could find a 1/24 scale interior detail set that closely resembles the control panel of the Gemini Space craft? I have contacted New Ware models but they haven't completed their interior detail set yet. I have been looking for aircraft detail sets but none of them are in 1/24 scale.

Only New Ware is working on that at the moment. The trouble with the Gemini interior is that the shapes and such of the kit don't match the real thing without lots of work. You basically have to cut away eveything on the inside and start over.

For a super article by Dave Weeks on the Gemini. It's the Airforce version of the Gemini but the techniques are the same. He's probably one of the best builders (non-commercial) I have ever know. Very meticulous. He designed the external detail set that Realspace Models sell.

I can't wait for New Ware to complete their set. It would be nice to integrate that into my project. I have looked at Dave Weeks Website for some time now. His website was the inspiration for me to start this little project. I really liked the extreme detail he placed on both projects (Gemini 4 and the Air Force MOL). I'm actually thinking of changing my project because I'm not skilled enough to scratchbuild. I'll just do a decent exterrior job of the outside of the spacecraft.

It is very intimidating to look at was Dave did and then try to do that yourself. I know I am very much into Gemini B and MOL but have not the tools that he has to vacuform a new adapter section. I'm currently working on converting a 1/144th Realspace Models Titan MOL kit to the version it would have been if the MOL hadn't been cancelled.
