Try Jay Miller's "The X Planes" ..... recently republished, even available here in UK. Large volume covers from Bell X1 to X45, whatever that may be. Nice section on models available for all USAF X craft. Great book with excellent chapters on recent CRV projects for NASA and for us old timers great chapter on X-20 Dyna Soar.

Another good book is X-Planes at Edwards by Steve Pace published by Motorbooks International. Covers all the X-Planes and such at Edwards.
