space modelers web site
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, October 16, 2004 1:22 PM
i have been thinking about starting a web site where space modelers could post pictures of their completed subjects. It would be a totally FREE site. I knoe everyone posts pics all over the place and i thought a web site dedicated to this would be interesting.....any thoughts?

There is one currently out there. Check out http://www.starshipmodeler.com/
They deal both in Sci Fi and real space. Any donations are voluntary and not required for access.

Enjoy,

I think that such a site would be a great idea. With perhaps a forum, etc... dedicated to ONLY Real Space modeling... no sci-fi.

i think a realspace site would be fantastic. its a subject that gets lost behind the armor and aircraft sites. perhaps if more people were exposed to this subject ; maybe kit manufacturers would pay attention. My 2 cents [2c]

i'm getting ready to start a REAL SPACE modelers web site. spacemodelgallery.com. If you have any suggestions for the site or any models you wuold like to have displayed you can either post a nessage here or email me at tpmurphy@infini-t.com for now.

I havent decided on how i want to organize the site but i think i will start out with a simple category design and then see how it goes.

so if you have any pics of your models send them to me along with a narrative of each pic if you like.

I think it's a great idea! It would be nice to see a site that only has real space models on it rather than searching through a bunch of stuff to find what you are looking for.
Do you plan on setting the site up with catagories like Mercury, Gemini etc.?
It would be even better if posting photos would be easy...I'm not exactly computer literate.
