Well, the information on that page is really meant for semi-scratchbuilding a 1/96 model using a very limited set of Revell parts; not terribly cost-effective if most of the kit is heading for the spare-parts bin. If anyone with a stock Revell kit wants to at least toss out the flimsy tank wraps, replace them with sections of EMA/Plastruct VT-425 tubing. You'lll thank yourself down the road. The S-IVB wrapper might be okay with a reinforcing layer of sheet styrene bonded to the inner surface, but the printed USA markings will have to be eliminated, as they're wrong for any respectable stack that went to the moon.Smile [:)]

Yes, they are for storing the model in the box.

...I have a question. Inside the box are two pieces of cardboard that are finished black on one side. They have strange shaped holes cut in them and I assume they are for holding the completed model somehow. Anyone know what they are for?

Thanks.
