ham - Where do you live? If you're close enough, the Air & Space Museum in D.C. has John Glenn's 'Freedom Seven' just inside the front door.
Of course you know that 'Ham' was the first astronaut aboard a Mercury capsule.

If you can make it to Houston, go look at the real thing at Johnson Space Center. They'll let you take pics of it, sadly though, last time I went, I forgot my camera, so didn't get any. Sorry. It's worth a trip to go there though, tons of great stuff.

Life magazine put out a special book called "We Seven". It was really a PR tool for NASA's astronaut program, but it was interesting. There were two books actually. One text version with a few B&W photos, and a coffe table bookwith plenty of color; showed lots of interior shots, training shots, closeups of various capsules, etc. They should still be around in some old book stores and libraries. - Ed

I know that most of the pics of out there of the Mercury Space Capsule are in B/W but I need color pics of the int. Does anyone have pics out there or guide me to a web site were I can find some.
