Has anyone heard if Airfix is planing on bringing the 1/144 scale Saturn 1B out again in the near future?  I thought I read it somewhere they were but am not sure.

It is not in the 2008 catalogue. Maybe with next year seeing the 40th anniversary of the 1st landing, it will get re-released along with the V, LM & the HO OO scale Astronaut sets?

Wow! Forty years!  It doesn't seem that long.  I can remember my mom getting me out of bed to watch the first steps on the moon.  A whole lot more impressive now that I know the whole story about what it took to get that far.

I know this is an old thread, but the skinny from Yahoo's spacemodeling group is that they won't.  Too bad.  Not like a whole bunch of us didn't bomb them with emails requesting the IB.

Not wanting to take a chance on EBay, I'll probably just spring for RealSpace's resin version.  Or for the money, pick up Semroc's 1/70th scale flying version and pimp it out with Apogee's CM and escape tower.

It's not rocket science
