wash issues
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 8:21 PM
Question [?]
I am attempting my first use of a wash on an armor model, painted with Model Master enamels and coated with future. For the wash, I am using Model Master burnt umber acrylic, soap and water. I am noticing particles of paint suspended in the fluid. Is this normal, or do I need more/less of something? Also, should I be using water or acrylic thinner?

Thanks...

Hey, jamarshall. Sorry to mislead you, but this really isn't an answer... just another question. I've never done a wash before, and i would like to attempt one on a PBY i'm doing.

how does one mix up the right things? RedKnight38 tells me his washes are either too thin that they just drip off, or too thick that it adds another coat of paint... what's it supposed to be? am i supposed to wipe the excess off or leave it to dry?
