                        40mm MK1 scratchbuild - help!

                        This scratchbuild project of a 40mm MK 1 naval mount in 1/24 scale is growing 3 heads. Can anyone tell me how to build sights for this beast? Can you paint solder? any help would be appreciated.

                        Not really an answer about the sights ... but in regards to solder, paint away. Takes paint quite well, been using it for years !!

                        You're best buying a set of photo-etched details containing sights. Difficult to get them as perfect looking any other way... Tom Modelworks has large sights in his 1/28 - 1/32 WWI aircraft sets... Might not be large enough, but worth checking..!
