Glue Mistake (CA)

Nice issue here!
I was wondering how could one separate parts ( injection molded) that had been glued together with regular modelling glue (Tamiya liquid glue); some one told me that soaking the glued parts in dry cleaning fluid could debond the glue; now unlike super glue that has a debonder, i dont think regular modelling glue has a debonder right? could anyone guide me too on this?

Well, it may have worked or it may not have. I had two pieces of flat styrene glued together. The idea was to replace a rectangular window, but I just could not get the curve correct. the result was broken plastic.

Oh well, I will just have to get another HH-65 Dolphin (Now with extra parts.

I'm thinking next time to just paint over the windows.

I've heard good things about putting the model in the freezer for a few hours, then just snapping the part off. They say the cold makes the glue very brittle and weaker than the plastic. Worth a try before soaking in debonder I'd say, you can tell if it's not going to break loose and back off if you have to.
