If you have the profile or contour physically in front of you, make a template out of cardboard or other stiff paper. Transfer this template to regular paper. Use the enlarge/reduce button of a copier to adjust the scale.

Could you go into a little bit more detail on what you are trying to do? I am not sure I understand what you are asking.

How do you scale a profile or a contour? Is there a common tool or method that is used to accurately do this?
