refurbishing old plastic models
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 9, 2003 7:33 AM
I recently purchased two 1957 Chevy 1/12 scale basket case plastic models. Between the two of them there is almost (missing one wiper blade) enough parts to make one model.
Does anyone have any good ideas for stripping paint and dissolving old glue? Thanks.

If you look further back into the techniques forum, you'll find a couple of very good threads all about stripping paint and old glue.

use the search engine (at the top) with keywords such as 'stripping', 'oven cleaner', 'brake fluid',...
