CA Accelerator

I was just wondering if anyone has noticed any adverse effects of using CA accelerator on paint with a coat of future on it??? I don't want to damage the paint job, but I like the hardening properties of the accelerator. Thank you in advance for any suggestions/answers!

I try to keep accelerator away from all painted surfaces in general. I have seen it do some ugly things which required repainting to fix.

Heath,

Baking soda can be used as an accelerator also and it probably would't affect the paint as far as I know. You may want to test a scrap painted piece first.

That's what I used to use a lot. Just mix a little baking soda in some water and spray it on the joint. I think it tends to leave more residue than the commercial accelerators, but it's a whole lot cheaper and works great in a pinch. Never tried it over Future though, so I don't know how that would work.
