Someone posted a technique for making navigation lights on ARC using a Faber-Castell transparent permanent waterproof acetate marker. Does anyone know in the layman's terms if this is a dry erase marker, an overhead projector marker, or what? If anyone has used this technique, please let me know.

An acetate marker is used to mark on glass. Commonly known as a Sharpie pen. It works because the marker has a slight acid in it that slightly etches in the object you are marking. You need to look for a marker that writes on glass and plastic. I think Sharpie is the only one that makes it.

Arts and Craft stores like Pat Catan's carry acetate pens by Micron which give you a very fine line. I haven't considered using them for navigation lights before.
