Sorry guys, it's just beyond me why anyone would want to mix when you can get the correct color right out. to me the problem with mixing is what happens if you didn't mix enough....then you have to go back and remix and HOPE you do it exactly the same...besides Tamiya paints are harder to clean off of my airbrush......just clean up with water..................HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The IPMS Stockholm site has some good information on colors. Lots of color charts for equivalents etc.

Not sure if they have what you need but you might want to check it out.

Hope you find what you need! Cool [8D]

I went on the net to find Tamiya mixing guides!

I bought a bunch of paints and carefullly measured the prescribed colors!
They looked AWFUL!!!! Not even close!

I would suggest getting accurate color swatches of the colors (ask your hobby store or a paint guide for color swatches of RLM colors) and mix your own until you get it right. A lot of their colors are very close to what you need. (IE German Grey is great for interiors and some exterior) remember a coat of future will also darken the colors. (Pay attention to the scale effect to) Always mix a bit ligher.

Good luck

Long live Tamiya acrylics :)

I prefer Tamaya acrilic to Model Master and was wondering if ther is a guide to mixing Tamyas paints to get the colors of RLM codes?
IE- RLM-74 = Tamaya (a @ x% + C@ z% )
Thanks as always.
