BlackSheepTwoOneFour I'm thinking it dont react as well on gloss paint as it does on flat paint. I've been trying to find Flory washes and pigments here in the US but having no luck. Where did you find it?

I have had similar issues as PJ over the few years i have been useing it. It does not seem to like Xtracolour paint of Alclad lacquer clears, but goes down fine on future. BUt it can be hit and miss.
As PJ said, you now have to order direc from Flory. But postage is a flat £3.50 what ever the order size.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
The mystery continues......I just ran the same wash over Floquil Old Silver sealed in Alclad Aquagloss and the wash worked like it should.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
You have to order from them in the UK.
Gary
sounds like a good idea. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.
Ernie, I believe I would contact Philip Flory and tell him about your experience. He might be able to explain what happened. That is sort of strange...
"All you mugs need to get busy building, and post pics!"
I recently used Flory Washes over MM Flats, decals on with Solvaset and sealed in Future and it worked like a charm.
A couple of evenings back, I applied the same wash to a plane painted with Testor's Gloss white, sealed in Future and decaled with Set and Sol with no Future applied to seal over the decals. The wash separated as if it was bad. I really had to work to get it into the panel lines. A little Dawn helped out.
Then I took the same wash with the same brush and applied it to an old unpainted Fujimi plane wing, it worked just fine.
Again, the brush was brand new and had not been used with anything else so no contamination from the brush. Even using Q tips got the same results.
Has anyone experienced this weird effect while using Flory Washes? A reaction to Set and Sol? Reaction to the paint brand?
