Decal Flags
Posted by wjbwjb29 on Friday, December 25, 2015 11:15 AM

Hello;

I never worked with decal flags and was wondering what the proper way is to mount these to the flag staff. I asume they need to be on some sort of backing first but what do you use. Any help would be appreaciated.

Some recommend flag-sized snips of aluminum foil, but my favorite is wine-hood lead

I didnt think of that. The foil will allow me to give it some wind contours.

Thankyou

I've only ever used foil. I cut a piece that was a touch larger than the decal (half)...CA the edge to the mast. Applied the decal. Trim off the extra foil, touch up paint the edge and bend to shape.

This is the best pic I have (accidently deleted the album that had the rest of the pics)
