I never use putty. I use CA and start sanding it down before it fully sets. When the gab is too large I use styrene and CA, and sand down before it sets up too hard.
Hi Don, I never had much luck with squadron putty & others. I like the Perfect Putty for smoothing with a wet Q-Tip. Thanks.

I also like spot putty, now generally called glazing putty. I get it at auto parts stores. Works well, cheaper than products bought at hobby shops.

Ardvark, I use bondo/spot putty all the time, now I use PPP. Still use bondo on large areas but the PPP with the nosal & syringe are good for really tight areas & clean gap filling. I use Model Master acrylic paints with it also. Thanks.
Ditto the last two, really good stuff, also like Tamiya filler. PPP cleans up so well with water, it's my mainstay filler. Shrinkage is minimal, almost none.
Just finished up my first tube of Perfect Putty, 2 on the way...Love it.

Haven't used it. I use Vallejo Plastic Putty. Same cleanup with a damp q-tip. It only comes in white.
