In the rustall instructions they say to give it a coat let it dry then coat it again. the muffler on a 1/35 tank might take 4 or 5 coats (3 on the muffler + 2 more on the straps/bracket junction) it will build up. When you're done with the rustall you might want to dust it with a little yellow powder pastel for a gas engine muffler, not so much rustall for diesel.

I've used Rust-All on a couple of armor models and like it very much. I treat it more as a wash than a paint and gotten good results. Thinking about buying one of the Rust-All kits (Black, grime, dust etc) and wonder what the results would be like if you applied it with an airbrush.

I just bought a bottle of Rustall.
What is the best way to use it to get some good rusty effects.
It seem to thin. I did a test patch over some silver. It looks like I
put a reddish wash over it.
Any secret sout there??
