Future windshield dip does work well

And, Don, it doesn't even have to be the C A that the canopy was glued on with. It could be the CA that was used to glue the landing gear doors on with.

As for pooling, I try to keep an eye on things for an hour or so, wicking off buildup with a torn corner of paper towel. Not 100% reliable.

I find when I try to use it to protect canopies, that it works by the CA frosting the future  coating on the canopy.  Then you have to dissolve the future away to get rid of the CA and frost.  If the frosting is from the CA that I glue the canopy on with, I often do not have access to the interior of the canopy to wash the future off there.

I've tried this several times but always seem to get some pooling in the corners and not a uniform coverage. This is even after wicking the extra away and setting it on a paper towel to dry. Any ideas?

I've taken to dipping all my canopies. I do it at the start of the build to leave them to dry properly before masking. Never had a problem with it peeling if left long enough.

Some people are against this procedure, but for me it works well - especially on canopies that I had to modify, then polish - that future dip gives them an extra shine.

Some people have problems with future peeling off the clear styrene. Don't know what causes it, and it's fixable - but if that happens it kinda defeats the purpose...

It's also worth noting, that future dipping protects your canopy against super glue frosting.
