CA glue white stain removal!

After all this time, I did it (again)... Nearly finished with my CLK-GTR, when I manage to split two parts at the rear. I've made a bit of a flop inside with allignment of the cockpit tub, causing a bit of stress on the now misplaced rear. So, in a thou-shalt-not-break-open-again mood (not the best thing to be in... Blush [:I]) I grabbed the superglue and used that for the solution.

The result... it did not break open again, but the stunning biut of paintwork had this all-to-familiar dry CA signs - white stain. With all being done and a respray being impossible, I tried something out of... shall I call it desperation... Grabbed the good ole Tamiya rubbing compound.... viola! The stain left us (and with more than a weekend gone, has still not returned).

So if anyone else step into such a mess - there is a way out. Most likely old news to a lot of you, but still... Wink [;)]

Any other ways you guys use to get out those white CA glue stains? Rubbing compound is not allways a very good solution, esp in small areas.
