Keeping dust off of models

like Don said give it a blast with the airbrush to remove any dust before painting, make sure the area your painting in is as dust free as can be, mist the air before painting and store it in a dust free box after. Like I said I've always kept my box upside down with the lid locked onto it. I have three dogs that shed enough for six and I can keep my model area dust and dog hair free for the most part. Also another thing I have is a air purifier in my model room I know that catches a lot of it.

 

Yeah, I got two dogs out my own who shed like crazy.  I might need to look into an air purifier, though.

I keep a small plastic tote on my bench upside down when I'm done working for the day and right after I finish painting something it goes on the lid and the tote locked down on top of it. The tote has never been turned right side up so don't have to worry about dust getting into it. Also while airbrushing I keep a spray bottle of water and mist the air to knock down any dust in the air before I start painting

 

I have a plastic box with a lid, and I place the model in that box when I'm done.

I use enamels, and because of the long drying time, I built a drying box.  The drying box has filters that keep dust out while parts and models dry.  Before I built the drying box, I just stuck boxes over them.  I also use tack cloths when I am getting ready to paint, but I also leave the bottle off my airbrush  and just brush the model with an air blast before painting.

I use can air and a very soft brush.

I'll have to look into this tack cloth stuff

I always have a tack cloth within reach. just my
