Salt chipping
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, April 5, 2004 7:25 AM
Hi, I've been reading about using salt to create a chipped paint effect, and was going to try it out on my Hasegawa Ki-43. Thing is, I don't have an airbrush and am not planning to get one - does the technique work with brush painting? If so, is there anything specific I should be doing different?

Cheers, Keith

I do not believe it would work well with a paint brush. The salt adhesion is too delicate and even if it was stronger you would probably get too heavy a paint build-up around the crystals for a good effect.
