Has anyone had a problem getting Novus to polish out scratches on some plastics. What’s the solution, if any?
Its worked well for me, even with canopies. I have been using the tamiya polishing compound as well. Perhaps novus 3 isn't course enough?

How deep are the scratches? A deep scratch or cracks cannot be polished out.
Novus #2 works great for me at removing light/fine scratches. You may have to try an automotive polishing compound that is coarser than what you are using then progress down to Novus for a final polish.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Sometimes Future will smooth out fine scratches. I am not a big fan of Future, but that is one use I find works fine. Be sure to wash it thoroughly before dipping in future.

Deep scratches be repaired by hand. It requires a lot of sanding with various fine grit sandpaper first then polishing.
However, if it’s a cracked canopy, it can’t be repaired.
