sewing thread as a scroll saw??!!

I have used it to cut out a door on a car before. i just wrapped it around my fingers and went to town.

I read that thread to and took notes since I plan on trying it soon. The info I have is to use regular sewing thread. But first drill or scribe a starting point for the thread. Then work thread to and fro slowly so the thread won't snap. follow panel lines (or scribed ones) with a low angle to avoid wandering off your mark and having a jagged cut. Also hold thread flat towards the body so the friction won't melt the plastic.
One person recommended using waxed dental floss. but i don't know how that would work out! Hopes this helps!
