Hi guys !

Micromart carries raised rivit decals in HO scale which while smaller, you might get away with these in 1/72 scale.

Have fun

Unthinned white glue works.  I put a layer down on some plastic, then dip the end of a sharp double-ended toothpick in it, picking up a little gob on end of toothpick. I touch that end down on the model surface.  The only problem is you cannot sand it, so put it down on the penultimate paint coat,  with one last coat over the rivets.

Here's another way to make very consistent rivets without a punch and die kit.

Take a piece of plastic card of the required thickness and drill a hole of the required diameter through it.

Place it on a hard, flat surface.

Push a piece of plastic rod/stretched sprue (of the same diameter) into the hole and cut level with the plastic card with a pair of flush cutters. If your cutter pinches the cut, smooth with fine sandpaper before pressing it out of the hole.

Hello!

I believe y take would be to drill small holes where the rivets should be and then glue some stretched sprue of the right diameter in. After the glue dries well you can trim the "studs" to the right length. Other people might have other methods - once I've read about glueing poppy seed as rivet heads...

Whatever you use - good luck with that tanks and have a nice day

Raised Rivets on 1/72 KV

Hello,

I have sanded off several raised rivets on my 1/72 KV-2 tank. I have read a thread here earlier that one can use White Gesso to make rivets but I don't have access to that since I am in quarantine. Does anybody know of any other solutions? I do not have a punch and die either. I might just 3D print the rivets and try to glue them on.

Thank you, please stay safe and healthy. May God be with you,
