Hi;

   Even thought the MOLOTOW pens work fine I still use liquid mask to protect the edges where I can.

Ditto

I think I will try using Molotow chrome paint pens for my model car chrome and black window trims. The trims are around 1 or 1.5mm thick. Which pen tip width should I buy ? I see they come in 1mm, 2mm 4mm and maybe wider. I have used Testors paint pens in the past and the wide tips allow me to "ride" the edge of the plastic to keep the line straight. what is the idea size for car trims? Thanks.

You could also decant the paint onto a palette and use a fine brush to apply it.

I consider the 1mm essential.  You can always widen a line, but no way to make one thinner.
