quite a few guy's here , jam a needle point first into a handle of some type and cut the eye in half , the two points hold just enough glue for the job .
I do a variation on this, a 2" section of stiff wire superglued into a toothpick half. It lets me do a much tinier drop when needed, than the needle's half-loop.
When residue builds up I burn it off with a lighter and it's good as new. [Use only in well-ventilated areas, obviously.]
