If you are willing to make inkjet decals, here is what I do. I scan kit prop from front. Many photo editing packages have a function call rotational blur. I pick the center of the prop and select a degree of blur. I adjust the amount to get a rotation effect. Then I lower the transparency to about 30% or so. I cut a disk of clear plastic the same diameter, and apply the decal to the disk. I cut the blades off the prop, and saw the in two, front half and back half. Glue the disk to the rear half, the front to the the disk. This gives a prop that really looks like it is rotating.
