puttying question
Posted by pingtang on Sunday, April 18, 2004 12:24 AM
Gidday

I have seen a technique for puttying seams and cracks where you apply squadron putty and wipe the excess away with nail polish remover and it leaves the putty inside the seam flush with the surface. My question is does this trick work with Tamiya basic type putty?

Thanks

It does, though it may take a bit more wiping. I like the Tamiya basic puty quite a bit more than I do the Squadron stuff. I've used this technique with this putty several times.

I use a brush and dip it in enamel paint thinner to smooth squadron green putty into the joint. It beats sanding and really puts a smooth finish and is great for tight areas and radaii
