But stuff like that is really easy to do - most important is to take a really good look at the real thing or photos of it, so that you get a good idea of what you want to get. Then basically you can replicate the torch cut marks by repeatedly scoring the surface with the tip of the knife, and my favourite for weld beads is to take stretched sprue, soften it with lacquer thinner and lay them down, also with the tip of the knife to get the texture. Easy and fun! Plus you get to inhale the fumes as a bonus (mean joke...). Good luck with your builds and have a nice day

Thank you. I always enjoy Nightshift's video's.  He always makes things look much easier than I find them to be. And yes, he must have some good ventilation for that kind of work. Believe me, my family is more than happy to let me know they are displeased with the various paints and glues I use.

In this case though, I was actually talking more about about shaping the Hull Front Edges themselves as they are much different from one and other. The link leads to the Tiger1.info page with the photos of what I am talking about (hard to put into words).

Most kits that I have seen represent the vertical variant. It doesn't look like there is enough material to simply sand/cut a new shape, but I can't imagine this is an insurmountable issue. I just not creative/familiar enough with that type of modification to know what the most appropriate thing to do is.

Awright, so this is what you meant - german armor is not my speciality.

Looks like a nice thing to do, too - you basically have to add some material to be able to cut and sand later. The material you want is styrene - the same stuff the kit is made of. First choice would be to take some unused part from the same kit or from another kit. You can also buy sheet styrene on the net and some people even buy various signs to cut them up and use for material - you just have to watch out because some of the signs are different material than styrene. Or you can take a close look at what you throw out and use that for free - junk with PS in a triangle is styrene and can be cut up and used in models. For example where I live big ice cream boxes give me lots of thin styrene sheet.

Once you have the material to add you need to cut it up (tools to do it could also be described in length) and glue it - here again I recommend lacquer thinner for a very strong bond - it just takes some time to cure. But the bond is so great you can glue two plates that are coloured differently and if you drill a hole in that you get a two-coloured burr - this should give you some idea.

Cutting and filing the desired shape then almost seems trivial! Welcome to the fantastic world of scarchbuilding! Good luck with it and have a nice day
