That's great, I was wondering how you made out ! It really is quite a simple fix though, as long as in sanding you don't burn through the color coat.

Generally wet will help, just depends what the clear is. With lacquer I wet sand and with Tamiya clear acrylic as well. Depending on the damage I use mesh from somewhere around 1500-2200.
I find any fine sandpaper 1000 grit or higher is fine for touching up clear coat,
I do have micromesh. I'm not handcuffed to spray cans as I aslo have stuff to airbrush. Thanks everyone.
Scuff it out with fine sandpaper and apply another coat or two, since its dry. With clear you should be able to do that several times if need be.
Do you have MicroMesh sticks? When I get paint damage (usually from accidentally hitting the model with a metal tool), I use MicroMesh sticks and work my way from 1500 to 4000 to feather out the damage. Then you can just blend in more clearcoat with your airbrush. Should work the same for lint damage. Don't know if its possible to get a good result using the spray can for that, so you might need to decant it.

Unfortunately it's not future. It's Mr Surfacer from a spray can. It's already dry as this was yesterday. Sorry I should have been more clear (get it? See what I did there?) in my question.
If clear coat is Future you can wipe area with Windex and reapply.
I've had that happen many times. I have two big dogs and their hairs are everywhere.

I pulled the hair out immediately after spraying. It left this residue you see in the picture. I have a booth but sprayed this in the garage. Lesson learned.

Did you spray in a booth? If so try this next time. Wipe down all the surfaces with a Damp paper towel befor painting. That will help. Now for that repair! Very carefully take your softest brush. Overlay the lint area only, with clear. Then when It has SOFTENED gently pull it straight up and out. Or If it resists then Pull towards you. You may have it break. If so use a Sally beauty supply polishing stick to get rid of it.This stick has four grits.I call them There, Almost there, Where? and What did you say? They are that smooth!
On the corner of this piece I realized a hair or something right after I sprayed a clear coat. How do I fix this?
