Hello out there!
I was Gifted a U.S.S. Missouri. Tamiya's kit number 79008-1945 fit! After getting involved with Encore's U.S.S.Olympia, I decided ,"If it is thin enough I like the wooden decks!" So, That said can anyone guide me to a Good Looking Wooden thin deck for this ship. I have ALL the other upgrade parts, you know, the P.E. and Resin plus the Brass Main and Secondary arms and even some of the smaller guns(My Addition.) All I want is the deck . I need a budget priced one though. If I can find this I may even do my 1981 fit New jersey with one, Who Knows?

If you're going to finish the kit as the Missouri in 1945, will you depict her as she looked up to and just after the Japanese surrender, or post-war, when she was returned to haze gray and the wooden decks were stripped of stain and holystoned? And if you choose to depict her as she looked before the end of hostilities, is there any advantage to using a wooden aftermarket deck, over just using and painting the kit part?
