Is there a trick to metal stickers?

Just wondering if there's something I need to know about how to transfer Tamiya metal stickers onto the car body. 

I tried twice so far but everytime I lift the cover plastic, the sticker doesn't stay on the body. If there's no trick to it, it just means I'm doing it too fast and/or not pressing hard enough, but could I try something else? Like maybe heat a screwdriver and press with that, which may help in weakening the glue a little?
