What product and surface preparation would you recommend to glue/fasten/weld/rivet a 1/48 scale F-86 aircraft to a mirror?

I am thinking of glueing a set of chocks to the tires before fastening the model to the mirror to increase surface area for better adhesion.

Google and You Tube have not provided any useful clues. Lots of ads for every glue under the sun however. 

Thoughts?  

Will the mirror be horizontal with the model on it, or vertical, or pitched somewhere in between?

If the mirror will a horizontal base under the model, even white glue would work.  I might try a 2-part epoxy, too.

Your idea of adding chocks and thereby increasing the adhesion surface area is a good one.  Though I thought of getting one or more holes through the glass-a piece of specialty work, of course-and using fins to help secure the model in place. Especially if the base will be at any angle out of horizontal, on up to the vertical.

Ahoy Sharkbait.  I would use G-S Hypo Cement first. Its solvent based and dries absolutely clear. I got this a while ago at Joann Fabric & Craft Store locally. Clear epoxy would be my 2nd choice.

Maybe have a look at Loctite glass glue

Mirror will be flat, " Silver Sabre "  CL-13 Mk.V in bare aluminium parked, as just rolled out of the Canadair Factory before flight test and delivery to the RCAF. Only decals will be RCAF Roundels, Fin Flashes and servicing instructions. No squadron markings or codes. Old Monogram kit picked up at a charity sale for 4$. Only down side is the drop tanks are the smaller ones, not the big ones used by the OFU ( Overseas Ferry Unit ) to ferry them to RCAF NATO in Europe. OFU ferry call sign  "RANDOM". Unit motto "Deliverum Non Dunkum"
