Trowbridge,

Grumbacher makes a line of paints in dozens and dozens of colors. I used to use their watercolors years ago when I painted architectural perspectives. It's good stuff. See if you can return the tube and pick up some of their colored paints.

I'm not really familiar with artist's materials, but are you sure you didn't get some sort of uncolored base material? The color should be shown on the tube, and I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be white unless you bought white.

Went to the art supply store to check out Grumbacher paste for making sludge wash. The paste is white! Are you supposed to mix paint with this paste? Can anyone explain this to me?

I'm going to check out Swanny's website and see where I went wrong.

Thanks for all your input fellas.
