Tamiya putty for seam filling?
Posted by rebelreenactor on Thursday, May 13, 2004 6:47 PM
Can i use Tamiya putty to make zimmerit?
Can i use it to fill seam lines, like when you glue the wings on, or the barrel halves to gether.

Basically what i am saying is, is it the same thing as squdron putty.

Thanks

Tamiya putty is just like your usual putty, I suppose. I usually apply the putty along the seam (having masked the sides with masking tape), and then thin the putty using Cutex regular nail polish remover until the putty is about even with the surface. Redo this as needed (putty can pit and shrink).
