Another technique is roofing felt (Tar Paper or roofing paper). It has the correct color and just paint the stripes on it. It can also be used for runways. You can get scraps at any construction site.

It´s easy, use a black sand paper , and them paint the traffic stripes (road stripes?? I don´t know wich the correct...sorry) with an airbrush..
