Testor's gloss/dull coat over future?
Posted by balta1 on Friday, June 18, 2004 8:03 AM
I am trying to find ot out if you can spray lacquer clear coats over future? I painted a 300ZX with SNJ and tried to spray future for the gloss coat but it doesn't look glossy enough. I tried to respray with future but I am not getting the look I need.
TIA

If the Future has cured for around 48 hours you can spray lacquer over it without a problem.

I would shoot a few light, mist coats first as I would not feel safe with a wet coat of lacquer over Future, unless Future is tougher than I thought.

I use Testors Dullcoat over Future on every kit I build, and I've never had a problem. Like Rick says, wait 48 hours. Spray misting coats to begin, like Mike says.
